Responsibilities
1. Advise and support the mechanical maintenance supervisors during plant upsets, equipment failure and shutdowns with regards to material selection, best practices and international standards.
2. Develop and implement a process to continuously evaluate equipment reliability and set up a system for sustainable improvement of equipment reliability in close cooperation with the plant asset manager and maintenance manager.
3. Set up a sustainable work process and relevant procedures to maintain and improve the site piping classes.
4. Set up a set of standard mechanical specifications to support the process engineer and the maintenance staff in purchasing new equipment.
5. Support the process engineer, inspection department and the purchasing group during the entire process of purchasing new equipment, ie engineering phase, vendor selection, documentation review and approval, intermediate inspections and factory acceptance tests.
6. Develop mechanical maintenance policy and strategy in close cooperation with the maintenance manager .
7. Analyse major or recurring problems and propose solutions to the maintenance manager.
8. Audit existing suppliers on a regular base with regards to their adherence to high HSEQ and technical standards in close cooperation with the purchasing group.
9. Select, audit and approve new suppliers or technologies.
10. Develop and keep up to date of the technical documentation and procedures about the plants and others give instructions on their use.
11. Define, control and improve maintenance KPI’s
Requirements
12. Engineer or equivalent through experience
13. Min. 5 years of experience in and mechanical engineering and/or maintenance techniques
14. Broad technical knowledge and some understanding of chemical processes
15. Strong analytical problem solver and trouble shooter
16. Conceptual and strategic thinking
17. Project management expertise
18. Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
19. Language skills: Dutch, English and French
