CHC Brazil is seeking an AZURE FABRIC ENGINEER.
The Azure Fabric Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Microsoft Fabric data platform infrastructure. This role focuses on migrating legacy on-premises Microsoft Business Intelligence and Tableau environments to Azure Fabric and Power BI, ensuring seamless data integration across global helicopter operations. The position requires expertise in modern data lakehouse architectures, data engineering pipelines, and analytics solutions that support aviation operations while maintaining strict compliance with EASA Part-IS.I.OR (EU) 2022/1645, Part-IS.D.OR (EU) 2023/203, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27017, and ISO 42001 standards.
Principais Responsabilidades
* Design and implement Azure Fabric workspaces, lakehouses, and data warehouses
* Develop and maintain data pipelines using Data Factory, Dataflows Gen 2, Spark notebooks, and Airflow for operational and maintenance data
* Create and optimize medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers)
* Lead migration projects from on-premises Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS) to Azure Fabric
* Integrate and ingest data from multiple operational business systems
* Create comprehensive data mapping documentation and transformation logic
* Document data architecture and processes for compliance audits
* Partner with business units and data owners to understand business data and requirements
* Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate into technical solutions
* Mentor IT staff on cloud technologies and architecture principles
Qualificações, Habilidades & Atributos
* Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
* English: Advanced proficiency for technical documentation and global team collaboration
* 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
* Proven experience migrating on-premises BI solutions to cloud platforms
* Experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools and Power BI
* Background working with complex data integration scenarios across multiple systems
* Microsoft DP-600 (Fabric Data Engineer Associate) certification required
* Microsoft DP-700 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) certification required, or commitment to obtain within 6 months
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams
* Customer service orientation for internal stakeholder support
* Achievement of strategic goals and project milestones

WORKING CONDITIONS
* Remote work position based in Brazil (São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro) with home office setup
* On-call rotation for critical IT operations and cybersecurity incidents
* Global travel required (approximately 5-10%)
* Ability to work flexible hours to coordinate with global teams across multiple time zones
* Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearances as required by aviation authorities where required
* May require work in helicopter maintenance facilities and data centers
* Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs (IT equipment)
