Ph3Job Description /h3 pbDirector of Research Development (RD) /b /p pLocation: Andrimont (Liège), Belgium /p pReports to: General Manager /p pMember of the Management Team /p h3About The Role /h3 pWe are looking for an RD Director who combines strategic vision with hands‑on leadership. /p pThis person will shape the future of our technologies while ensuring our innovation projects run smoothly, efficiently, and deliver real value to the market. /p pYou will work at the crossroads of technology, product management, engineering, manufacturing, and customer expectations. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 h3Build and Lead Our RD Strategy /h3 ul liDefine the long‑term RD vision with the Product Management team. /li liTransform this vision into a clear, realistic, and achievable technology and product roadmap. /li liMake sure RD priorities directly support Teledyne ICM’s growth and innovation goals. /li /ul h3Drive Innovation New Product Development /h3 ul liLead the creation of new products, technology improvements, and enhancements to existing solutions. /li liExplore new technologies and identify opportunities for innovation. /li liEncourage a culture of experimentation, creativity, and problem‑solving. /li /ul h3Manage RD Projects from A to Z /h3 ul liOversee the planning, execution, and delivery of RD projects. /li liEnsure each project stays on scope, on budget, and on schedule. /li liMonitor risks, challenges, and resource needs—and act quickly to keep projects on track. /li /ul h3Lead Grow the RD Team /h3 ul liManage a team of ~10 talented engineers and technicians. /li liCoach, support, and develop the team so they can perform at their best. /li liManage RD budgets and allocate resources where they create the most impact. /li /ul h3Collaborate Across the Company /h3 ul liWork closely with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service teams. /li liEnsure RD outputs truly meet market needs, customer expectations, and industrialization requirements. /li liSupport smooth transitions between RD, production engineering, and manufacturing. /li /ul h3Stay Ahead of Technology Trends /h3 ul liMonitor technology advancements, competitors, and market movements. /li liIdentify potential risks and opportunities before they reach the market. /li /ul h3Build External Partnerships /h3 ul liDevelop strong relationships with universities, research centers, suppliers, and other Teledyne business units. /li liLead joint research programs and open‑innovation initiatives when relevant. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 h3What You Bring /h3 ul li15+ years of progressive RD experience in high‑tech or engineering fields. /li liA solid track record in: ul liLeading complex RD programs /li liDelivering successful product launches /li liManaging cross‑functional technical teams /li liDriving ideas from concept to market /li /ul /li /ul h3Background Skills /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering /li liBroad experience with hardware development (electronics, HV, mechanics, embedded software, etc.). /li liStrong project management and prioritization abilities. /li liA collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence across teams. /li liFluency in English; French is a strong advantage. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
