The Senior Manager Emerging Countries Launch will lead a team that focuses on solving the complex challenges that enable new FCs, Sort Centers and Delivery Stations to quickly hit benchmark rates while operating at full capacity. They will do this while ensuring basic standards are supported throughout the local organization so that they can continue to meet our customer's needs, both internal and external. In this role, you will influence a team comprising of Regional Directors, Site Leaders, Senior Operations Managers, Operation Managers, Area Managers, Start‑Up Project Managers, Construction Managers, Operations Engineers, and Design Engineers connected to a new site. This role calls for an individual who is technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

You must have the capability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining high levels of trust and influence. A key to influencing stakeholders is to have the ability to solve complex, technical problems with simple, innovative and practical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Successful candidates will be comfortable leading teams with the required analytical, mathematical, and quantitative capabilities.

Additionally, the candidate should collaborate with and influence team members, work with development teams and other business groups, and present projects to senior leadership on a regular basis, partner to build and execute new initiatives and roadmaps each year, optimize cross‑team processes that improve team efficacy and delivery, possess the technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams, take ownership and accountability for programs, and ask for help or elevate issues as necessary to keep programs on track. Comfort with a high degree of ambiguity and operating in a rapidly evolving landscape, diving into details and leveraging strong judgment and gut instinct, and effective communication to all stakeholders related to a launch or program/project are also essential.
This role requires up to 50% travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Key Job Responsibilities
* Effectively manage a team of Launch and Start‑Up managers who prepare a building for turnover to the local teams and set the operations team up for success
* Manage day‑to‑day relationships with multiple Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sort Centers (SCs), and Delivery Stations (AMZL)
* Coordinate GES and Operations stakeholders to exceed Amazon standards for the launch of new sites or expansions of existing buildings to achieve operational success
* Dive deep into existing processes to identify defects or opportunities for process improvements
* Compile, manage, and report on weekly project metrics
* Drive multiple projects to optimize, standardize, and/or improve processes within and outside of launch
* Individual selected for this role must live and be based in Mexico
* Extensive travel, up to 50%
Basic Qualifications
* Experience in team management
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience in program or project management
* Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Preferred Qualifications
* PMP certification
* Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
* Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field
* Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish
* Fluency in Portuguese
* Fluent in French, Polish, Arabic, Chinese, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu
