For our manufacturing site in Brasov, we are looking for an Operations Manager who leads from the front, with a strong heart for operations and people. This is a role for someone who feels at home on the shopfloor, who thrives in a hands-on environment, and who knows how to connect with teams, develop people, and drive performance.
We are looking for a visible leader who stands among the people, coaches them on the floor, and makes a real impact every day.
1. Take full ownership of plant operations, including Production, Planning & Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, HSE, HR and Finance
2. Ensure smooth end-to-end processes, guaranteeing on-time delivery and optimal material flow
3. Coach, train and challenge teams on the floor, helping them grow in ownership, decision-making and performance
4. Build and develop a strong leadership team, driving accountability and a high-performance culture
5. Drive operational excellence and Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen mindset) across the site
6. Improve efficiency, productivity, and cost performance
7. Own the plant budget, cost structure and profitability, including CAPEX decisions and ROI-driven investments
8. Implement and monitor clear KPIs and performance dashboards
9. Strengthen alignment between purchasing, planning, production and logistics
10. Lead and foster a Zero Harm safety culture
11. Translate company strategy into concrete operational actions and improvements on the floor
12. Drive automation, digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives
WHO ARE YOU?
13. You have 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
14. You bring solid leadership experience as an Operations / Plant / Production Manager
15. You are a hands-on leader who naturally gravitates towards the shopfloor
16. You have a strong drive to develop people, coach teams and build capabilities
17. You are a motivator and communicator, able to bring people along in change and explain the “why” behind decisions
18. You combine an operational mindset with strong business and financial understanding (P&L, costing, CAPEX)
19. You have experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
20. You are structured and data-driven, with a strong focus on KPIs and performance management
21. You are ambitious, action-oriented and resilient, able to operate in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment
22. You feel comfortable in a multinational, process-driven organization
23. Experience in wood manufacturing is a plus, but not a must
24. You are fluent in English (Romanian is a plus or willingness to learn) #LI-RV1
