Head of Funnels – Google & YouTube Growth
LDX Digital is seeking a Head of Funnels – Google & YouTube Growth to lead the strategy, development, optimization, and scaling of our funnel infrastructure across all Google and YouTube acquisition channels.
This role goes far beyond traditional funnel building. The Head of Funnels will architect high-converting customer acquisition systems designed specifically for cold traffic, combining advertorials, landing pages, VSLs, checkout flows, upsells, and post-purchase sequences into one cohesive direct-response growth engine.
Our team doesn’t just run ads — we build complete performance marketing ecosystems. From creative strategy and video ads to custom-built funnels and conversion optimization, everything is engineered to maximize ROAS, customer value, and scalable growth.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands‑on operator with deep expertise in direct-response marketing, funnel psychology, conversion optimization, and performance-driven growth systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Funnel Strategy & Architecture:
o Lead the strategy, structure, and optimization of all Google and YouTube funnels.
o Build and oversee custom funnel ecosystems using Checkout Champs and Funnelish.
o Develop high‑converting 7‑step funnels with advertorial/pre‑sale page structures specifically optimized for cold traffic acquisition.
o Create and optimize landing pages, VSL funnels, checkout flows, upsells, downsells, cross‑sells, and post‑purchase experiences.
o Ensure funnels are optimized for conversion rates, customer experience, revenue growth, and scalability.
o Translate offers into cohesive customer journeys that maximize conversion and customer value.
* Google Ads & Media Alignment:
o Collaborate closely with Google Ads buyers and media strategists to align funnels with keyword intent, audience behavior, and traffic quality.
o Ensure seamless messaging alignment between ads, creatives, advertorials, landing pages, checkout flows, and retention sequences.
o Optimize funnel structures for Search, YouTube, Display, Performance Max, and remarketing traffic.
o Identify and solve bottlenecks across the acquisition journey to improve conversion efficiency and scaling potential.
o Build funnels specifically engineered to support aggressive customer acquisition goals across Google ecosystems.
* Revenue Optimization & CRO:
o Identify, implement, and test upsells, downsells, cross‑sells, bundles, and monetization opportunities.
o Continuously improve ARPU, AOV, CVR, ROAS, CPA, MER, and customer lifetime value through strategic optimization.
o Analyze user behavior, customer flow, and offer performance to uncover scalable growth opportunities.
o Apply direct‑response marketing principles and conversion psychology to improve performance across every stage of the funnel.
o Maintain a strong testing culture centered around data‑driven iteration and measurable performance improvements.
* Funnel Testing & Performance Analysis:
o Own the funnel testing roadmap across landing pages, advertorials, checkout flows, and upsell sequences.
o Develop structured A/B testing systems for headlines, layouts, offers, VSLs, pricing presentation, CTAs, and conversion mechanisms.
o Monitor funnel behavior using analytics tools, heatmaps, attribution systems, and conversion tracking platforms.
o Analyze funnel performance data and translate insights into actionable optimization strategies.
o Establish reporting systems and dashboards to track funnel KPIs and identify opportunities for growth.
* Technical Setup & Tracking:
o Handle technical funnel implementation, including HTML/CSS/JavaScript customization and platform‑specific development.
o Manage tagging, event tracking, pixel implementation, attribution setup, and platform integrations.
o Ensure tracking accuracy across analytics tools, CRMs, advertising platforms, and reporting systems.
o Maintain funnel QA standards and troubleshoot technical or tracking‑related issues quickly and efficiently.
o Work closely with developers and designers to ensure clean execution and high‑performance deployment.
* Leadership & Department Development:
o Build, lead, and scale the internal funnel department at LDX Digital.
o Develop SOPs, frameworks, workflows, and quality standards that support operational excellence.
o Mentor funnel builders, CRO specialists, developers, and related team members.
o Foster a culture centered around ownership, innovation, testing, speed, and accountability.
o Collaborate cross‑functionally with media buying, creative, operations, and leadership teams to drive unified growth strategies.
Qualifications
* Proven experience building and scaling high-converting funnels for Google Ads and YouTube traffic.
* Deep understanding of direct-response marketing, conversion psychology, and customer acquisition systems.
* Advanced experience with Checkout Champs, Funnelish, and funnel-building ecosystems.
* Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and technical funnel customization.
* Experience with analytics platforms, tracking tools, tagging systems, heatmaps, and attribution software.
* Strong understanding of funnel metrics including CVR, AOV, ARPU, CPA, ROAS, MER, and LTV.
* Ability to identify patterns in user behavior and optimize revenue through strategic funnel improvements.
* Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
* Experience building systems, processes, and scalable operational frameworks.
* Previous leadership or team-building experience strongly preferred.
* Ability to operate strategically while remaining highly execution-focused in a fast-paced growth environment.
